Pig iron smelting at ArcelorMittal Krivoy Rog in 2025 increased by 16.9% and reached 2 million 534.6 thousand tons. This is the largest increase among all the main types of production of the enterprise.
Despite this, General Director Mauro Longobardo noted that it was planned to constantly operate two blast furnaces, but due to military conditions this could not be achieved. Production remains adaptive and depends on energy supply and the market situation.
The key goal of the enterprise remains the preservation of production potential and jobs for the future reconstruction of the country.
