Baotou Steel Group Co Ltd in China selected Danieli to upgrade rolling wire equipment with a capacity of 600,000 tons per year. The main equipment that will be supplied will be the new four-speed high-speed finishing block TMB for the production of smooth wire with a diameter of 4.5 to 26 mm and reinforcing wire with a diameter of 6 to 16 mm at a maximum speed of 110 m / s. The first two passes will allow for high recovery rates for low temperature rolling to achieve finer grain size and better mechanical properties in the final products.
New equipment will allow to achieve strict product tolerances and increase the range of manufactured sizes. A shorter replacement time will result in increased material yield and greater production flexibility.
